An Exotic Salad For Any Occasion

This Exotic Salad comes from a recipe that my mother used to prepare when was young. It's a simple recipe which can be adjusted to taste as you please. In fact you can even make it sweeter by adding chives, red onions, garlic, olives and a few green peppers. When preparing the salad you need to first rinse the tomatoes and cut them into thin strips then add them to the salad bowl and add about half of the dressing then add your chopped greens and half of the red onions and wrap the salad in foil and let it steam for about one hour. Susanna Herlitz-Ferguson Then it's ready to serve and there are no worries about how much it will cost because it's cheap. It goes great with chicken, pork, fish and seafood. So if you're planning a party this summer then this is the salad to serve. It also goes well on just about any type of plate. The spices and seasonings used in this salad are as follows: dried oregano, Rosemary, thyme, garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, basil, parsley, lemon juice and balsamic vinegar. There are other spices you could add but these give it that exotic flair. The other nice thing about serving this salad is you can use a meat drizzle instead of the croutons. This way the salad looks more like an art work rather than a plain old salad.
